Yvonne Greeves

Board Member

Yvonne Greeves is Head of Women in Business for NatWest, The Royal Bank of Scotland & Ulster Bank. She is responsible for the Women in Business Strategy and a member of both the Women and Girls Sports Advisory Board and the Women in Enterprise Advisory Council for the Scottish Government, to help drive policy change at a national level around female equality. In addition, Yvonne is Chair of MsMissMrs, a social enterprise seeking to empower women and girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Chris Hellawell

Board Member

Chris Hellawell is the Founder and Director of the Edinburgh Tool Library (ETL), which he set up in 2013 to use resource sharing as a way to address both social and environmental challenges in his community. From a simple idea of running a library of tools instead of books, ETL has grown to encompass a variety of programmes from mentorship and skills training to community building and food education, as well as multiple sites across the East of Scotland.

Josiah Lockhart

Firstport CEO

Josiah joined the Firstport team in November 2017. Prior to joining Firstport, the experienced social entrepreneur was Chief Executive of Edinburgh’s Gorgie City Farm, where he led a successful crowdfunding campaign which saved the much-loved social enterprise from closure. Josiah also managed the start-up phase of the Grassmarket Community Project and helped launch Slow Food Scotland as an independent charity. He is a Committee Member of the Scottish Land Fund, which supports communities to acquire and manage land and land assets, and an SCVO Digital Pioneer.

Dr Poonam Malik

Board Member

Dr Poonam Malik is an academic research management leader with extensive experience of working in global partnership development within healthcare, industry and academic sectors. She is a Director of the World Health Innovation Summit, a social enterprise supporting community and health care organisations around the world, as well as an angel investor, mentor and active member of Scotland's only Women Angel Investor Community. In addition, she is a Court member for the University of Highlands & Islands.

Leona McDermid

Acting Chair

Leona is Executive Director of Aberdeen Foyer leading on strategic business development for Aberdeen Foyer including the successful social enterprises Roadwise Driver Training, Foyer Graphics and Foyer Works. The Foyer is committed to inspiring people who face challenges in their lives to develop their strengths through offering engaging services and opportunities that affect real and lasting change, enabling them to achieve independent living, learning and work. Prior to joining the Foyer, Leona was the Chief Executive of Social Firms Scotland.

Ailsa Raeburn

Board Member

Ailsa Raeburn is a Chartered Surveyor with many years’ experience in property development, management and regeneration. She is the former Head of the Community Assets Team at Highlands and Island Enterprise, responsible for the development and management of the Scottish Land Fund and was also involved with HIE's social enterprise strategy and devising client support models for social enterprises in the Highlands & Islands area.

Nicolas White

Board Member

An award-winning communicator, Nicolas’s professional experience spans two decades across roles in journalism, public relations, policy, campaigns and service development and delivery. His most recent experience has been in cancer services and policy and held roles at the Beatson Cancer Charity and as Head of Scotland at Breast Cancer Care. Nicolas has also held senior communications roles at social care charity Quarriers and Action for Children. Prior to moving into the third sector he worked as a communications consultant and a national newspaper journalist, covering general news and sport for a decade.
